Minneapolis Landscape Architect - Derek Harwood I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design/Architecture and also a minor in Horticulture from South Dakota State University in 2004. I have over 15 years of experience in the design and installation of landscaping. I spent several years landscaping in the Okoboji , IA and Aberdeen, SD where I specialized in patio and retaining wall installation, before returning home to the great State of Minnesota.
In my spare time and enjoy spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and watching the Twins, Vikings, and Wild! I also spent several years coaching high school wrestling, earning the honor of Iowa’s “Assistant Coach of the Year” in 2006.
Growing up in Minnesota instilled in me a great appreciation for the outdoors.
